What is Holistic Living?

Holistic means holism, which states that the parts of any whole cannot exist or be understood except in their relation to the whole.

Holistic living is the art of living lives in balance. It is understanding and respecting the fact that there is an interconnection between all things. It includes taking responsibility for our choices, our words, and our actions, knowing that whatever we do have far-reaching benefits or consequences for us, for others, and for the planet.

 

Human existence is based on the mentalphysical, and spiritual experiences that represent life and all life functions within the boundaries of nature. These four dimensions (mind, body, spirit, nature) are interrelated; if one is off balance, the entire being is affected.

 

The holistic approach applies to the four interrelated dimensional parts that work together to facilitate homeostasis (balance). When these parts are not in balance, we experience chaos within, which is then reflected outward.
